GymPin designs and manufactures specialist strength-training equipment used by athletes, gyms, and professionals worldwide. We are expanding our in-house manufacturing capability and are looking to bring on one or two skilled fitters to support the production, assembly, and finishing of our equipment.

This is a hands-on role working with precision components, mechanical assemblies, and small-batch manufacturing. You’ll be involved from raw components through to finished, packaged products ready for customers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Build

• Assemble mechanical components into finished GymPin products
• Build and fit sub-assemblies to tight tolerances
• Prepare products for direct-to-consumer and bulk distributor orders

Maintenance & Reliability

• Carry out routine checks on tools and equipment
• Support preventative maintenance schedules
• Identify wear, faults, or inefficiencies before they become problems

Fault Finding & Repair

• Diagnose mechanical issues
• Replace or rework components where required
• Support continuous improvement of assembly processes

Fabrication & Adjustment

• Modify or fabricate parts where needed
• Assist with prototyping and refinement of new products
• Work closely with engineering and design leads

Testing & Quality Control

• Test completed products for fit, function, and safety
• Ensure all builds meet GymPin quality standards
• Support packaging and dispatch readiness

Skills & Attributes

Technical

• Mechanical assembly experience
• Ability to read drawings or technical instructions
• Confident using hand tools and workshop equipment
• Strong attention to detail and finish

Mindset

• Practical problem solver
• Takes pride in high-quality work
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team

Desirable (but not essential)

• Mechanical or engineering qualification / apprenticeship
• Experience in fabrication, machining, or production environments
• Background in automotive, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly

Salary, Progression & Benefits

Pay & Progression

• Starting rate: £13.00 per hour - Depending on Experience
• Progressive pay scale with reviews based on performance, reliability, and skill development
