Do you ever find the starting position on machines can be outside your active range of motion? 

We did too - so we brought out the Starting Blocks.

A simple but effective product; 4” x 3” x 2” foam blocks designed to allow a more comfortable start position. 
Slide them under the machines arms, start the set & they’ll fall to one side, allowing you to complete the exercise with full range of motion.
